“You let the Skrill out!?!” You screeched, anger radiating off you like heat from a Monsters Nightmare as you rounded on the twins and Snotlout. “You mutton heads! Do you have any IDEA what you just did!?!”

“(Name)!” Hiccup shouted your name, and placed a hand on your shoulder when you turned to look at him. “You need to calm down.” You glared at him, and when he glared back you let your shoulders drop and a sigh escape your lips.

Hiccup then turned to his father (hand never leaving your shoulder), who was now pacing back and forth on the stone floor.

“Hiccup, when I was a boy, my father’s father used to tell me stories.” He started, and then sat on a bench, bringing his had to his forehead. “He told me stories of when the Berserkers used to attack with giant winged beasts with powers of lightning leading their ships.”

“But, that’s not possible.” Hiccup argued.

“I used to think riding a Night Fury was not possible.” Stoick shot back. He then let out a sigh.

Hiccup bit his lip, and then nodded. “You’re right.” He said. “So we need to go and find that Skrill before Dagur.” He finally let go of your shoulder to go over to Toothless. You wouldn’t lie; you were a little disappointed at the loss of contact.

But you got over that disappointment quickly, and when Hiccup and the other riders were about to take off, you grabbed onto his wrist.  “I’m coming with you.”

“What, no!” Hiccup franticly shook his head. “Who knows what that thing can do? It’s to dangerous!”

“You can’t keep leaving me out of these things!” You bristled silently, while tightening your grip on his wrist. “And you know I can help!”

“It’s dangerous (Name), and I don’t want you getting hurt.” Hiccup repeated while Toothless let out a small roar.

“I’ll be in just as much danger as you Hiccup.” Your voice had taken on an icy tone, and you chose to ignore the chorus of ‘Ooo’s’ coming from the twins. “So let me come.”

You and Hiccup continued your staring contest before the chief to be let out a sigh. “Fine. But if I tell you to bail, you bail.” He helped you up onto Toothless, and as soon as you were secure, the riders took off.

It had gotten very dark and stormy, very quickly, and everyone had circled around the island at least 3 times before regrouping.

“This is hopeless.” Astrid and Stormfly stopped to hover besides Toothless. “We’ve been around the island 3 times and haven’t found anything.” She then sighed. “Look, Hiccup, we’re all tired and hungry. We have to go back.”

“But it can’t have gone far!” Hiccup argued. “It only just woke up, and only Odin knows how long it’s been frozen!”

Silence came over the dragon riders. Hiccup groaned as he tried to think, while you mumbled silently to your self. “…Just woke up…” You frowned, and then your eyes widened.

“It just woke up!” everyone turned to look at you while you rounded on Snotlout. “Snotlout, when you wake up, what’s the first thing you want to do?”

Snotlout blinked, before smirking and leaning against Hookfang’s horns. “Well, usually I have to-“

“No, after that.” You cut him off with a face palm.

“Oh. Eat.”

Hiccup glanced back at you, confusion still on his face before it lit up in understanding. “Fishlegs, what’s the Skrill’s choose of food?”

The dragon expert grinned, and then spurred Meatlug forward. “Follow me.”

oOo

The 7 of you touched down at Silent Sven’s sheep farm, and Hiccup was currently translating his sign language.

“And then you…fought off the Skrill with your head?” Hiccup finished, receiving a nod from the mute Viking.

“Remind me to never steel sheep from him again.” Snotlout mumbled to the twins. All three of them flinched as Silent Sven jabbed his spear at Snotlout’s throat, glaring as he backed up to Hiccup again.

“Well, did you see where it went?” Astrid asked, receiving a shake of the head from Sven.  She groaned, and everyone looked up as a loud clap of thunder sounded. Lighting was flashing from the giant mass of clouds at an alarming rate, bright against the night sky.

“I’ve got a pretty goo idea where it went.” You said, and then went over to Toothless, who greeted you with a purr.  Hiccup opened his mouth to object, but you cut him off. “Don’t even think about it.”

Hiccup closed his mouth, opened it, and then sighed.

You grinned, and then hopped onto Toothless’ back, Hiccup following. You then took off into the skies once more.  When you were close enough to the clouds to see the Skrill’s outline, Hiccup once again turned to Fishlegs.

“Do you know if it has any weaknesses?” He asked.

“It has a few, and one of those it that is cant use it’s lightning when it’s in the water.” Fishlegs replied, letting out a little yelp as the shrill scream of the Skrill filled the night sky.

“Alright.” Hiccup nodded. “Me and Astrid are going to try to drive that thing out of the clouds. The rest of you fall back, and try to get it into the water when we get it out.” Hiccup then turned to look back at you. “Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?” You asked, moving your hands from Hiccup’s shoulders to his waist. “Now let’s go!”

Hiccup looked at you for a little longer before Toothless took off, Stormfly and Astrid neck and neck with them. “Astrid, go to the other end of the cloud and try to drive it twords me.”

Astrid did a mock salute, and then took off, yelling encouragements to the Deadly Nadder. It quickly grew silent, the only sounds being heard was the roar of the thunder, Toothless’ flapping wings, and yours and Hiccup’s heavy breathing.

An earsplitting roar filled the air, and the Skrill burst out of the clouds, lightning sparking angrily across its body. The two dragons started at each other for a fraction of a second, and then fired.

The lighting and the plasma blast met half way to cerate an explosion that sent you, Hiccup and Toothless flying back, with the Skrill charging after you.  The two dragons then engaged in a heated battle, everyone else joining in to push the dragon into the water. And then you spotted something you really didn’t want to see. “HICCUP!”

“Wha-“ He was cut off as a boulder came flying at you, and he barley had time to maneuver Toothless out of the way before another came flying at you.  Astrid blew that one to pieces, and the next one found it’s way to Meatulgs stomach.

The Berserkers had shown.

You could hear Dagur’s laughter from where you were, and you were half tempted to throw Hiccup’s shield at the maniac. Instead you used it to deflect a bola. The Skrill had vanished back into the clouds during the attack, and when Dagur’s fleet went to reload, Hiccup called everyone off.

You landed on a small island, and Hiccup turned around to face you. “(Name), you need to stay here.”

“What? No!” You franticly shook your head. “Hiccup, I’m not leaving!”

“It’s too dangerous!” Hiccup argued. “Now that Dagur’s here, Odin knows what’s gonna happen!”

“You can’t just take me out of this!” You snapped back. You were angry now, and he knew it. “Not this time!”

“(Name)-”

“No! I can help you Hiccup, and you know it.” You narrowed you eyes to a dangerous level.

Hiccup new you could. But he didn’t want you to get hurt, and even though you were on Toothless’ back there was no way he could help you. “…But how?”

You took a deep breath.  You had a plan to calm the Skrill down. It was a stupid plan, but a plan nonetheless. “You need to get me back to that Skrill, and you need to get me there now.”

Everyone was watching you now, just waiting for Hiccup to blow up. But to their surprise, and yours, he took a deep breath, and said in a strained voice. “Fine.” He then turned to everyone else. “Ruff, Tuff, I want you to come with me and (Name) to find the Skrill again. Everyone else, you need to keep Dagur busy.”

And then everyone took off again.

“So, how exactly do you plan to get the Skrill out?” Ruff asked. “I mean, you do have a plan right?”

Hiccup nodded. “I need you two to fly through that cloud. Ruff, you need to get Barf to fill it with as much gas as possible. Tuff, you cannot let Belch spark it until you are safely out. Hopefully the explosion will be enough to draw the Skrill out.”

Both yours and Tuff’s eyes widened. “Do you have any idea how big of an explosion that will be!?” Tuff asked.

“Uh…no?” Hiccup didn’t, but you did.

“We don’t either!” Tuff laughed wickedly, and then the twins flew Barf and Belch into the clouds. You and Hiccup watched as the grey slowly turned green, and you had to shield your eyes as the gas ignited.

You could hear the twins faint cry’s of “That was AWESOME!”, which was followed by an agitated roar. And the then Skrill was zooming out of the cloud.

The deep purple dragon flew until it was at Toothless side, wings beating furiously. The lightning had stopped sparking over its body, and it stopped to observe Toothless.

It was still for only a few seconds, but it was enough for you to leap off of Toothless back and onto the Skrills.

“(NAME)!”
