Literature Text

You were standing on the sea worn docks with Aurora, Stoick and Hiccup, anger bubbling in your chest as your father and everyone else from England got back on the boat that brought you here.

They were leaving you. They were leaving you in this stinking place for six months, only to send you right back after those six months were up.

“You will behave, you hear me (Name)?” You father turned back to you, a deadly glare in place.

“Of course.” You spat.

Your father gave you one last glare before turning back around and waltzing onto the ship.  Aurora then flung you on her back and flew up to the top most cliffs where you watched the ship leave until you couldn’t see it anymore.

You watched the now empty waters for a few more moments before you screamed.  You kicked and threw rocks until you limbs hurt; not caring if the two companions you left behind heard you. You then collapsed onto Aurora, who enveloped you with her wings.

“I hate him!” You screeched. “I hate that idiot who calls himself my father!” You screamed again, this time a little softer than before. “I hate him, I hate him, I hate HIM!”

Aurora let out a soft moan. She hated him too.

You took a deep breath, closed your eyes and let Aurora hold you in her paws. You fell asleep rather quickly, so you didn’t notice the beating of wings. But Aurora did.

She stuck her head out of her wings, her golden eyes meeting Toothless’ acid green. Hiccup was on the Night Fury’s back, and the two landed on the cliff. Hiccup slowly approached Aurora, his hands held in front of him, and the Changewing let out a growl.

“Aurora, I need to see (Name).” Hiccup stopped, wincing a little when Aurora let out another growl.

You were upset, and Aurora wasn’t going to let anyone see you right now.

“Aurora, please?” Hiccup tired again, but the crimson dragon wasn’t backing down.

Stoick and Hiccup weren’t all that worried when you flew off, but when Hiccup heard you scream, then he got worried. Stoick had stopped him from flying up to you right away, saying that this was exactly how he acted when he was upset, and that you needed some time to yourself.
The young Viking reluctantly agreed, but after 15 minutes of not hearing anything more from you or Aurora, he went up.

And now Hiccup was at a complete loss of what to do.

The way Aurora was holding you reminded him a lot of the incident with the Changewing eggs, and that was something he did NOT want to go through again. So, he had no idea how to handle this.

He looked at Toothless for help, but the dragon was busy poking at some rocks, tail swishing back and forth in excitement.

Lucky for Hiccup, you were starting to wake up. You hadn’t been in a very deep sleep to begin with, so when you heard boulders start to roll around you eyes snapped open.

Aurora’s head dived back under when you started to shuffle around, and when you two emerged; you instantly locked eyes with Hiccup.

“Are you okay?” Hiccup asked, finally taking the necessary steps towards you.

“Why wouldn’t I be?”

“You kind of flew off like a madman, and then acted like one for the next 5 minutes.” Hiccup retorted.

You huffed. “Well, when your fathers leaving you someplace you really don’t want to be, your going to act like a ‘madman’.”

You two glared at each other for the longest time. Hiccup was the first to relent. “Fine then. Sorry I ever worried about you.” He hopped onto Toothless and flew off.

“I’ll be better here than in England.” You shook you head. “Phft, yeah right.” You then hopped on Aurora, and took off in the opposite direction that Hiccup had gone. “I’ll be worse.”

oOo

Everything that had happened in the forges between you and Hiccup on your first day here seemed to be forgotten.

Because for the past week, all you two did now was fight.

It was always fighting. Whether it was over stupid things or something mildly serious, in the middle of the plaza or at the house, nothing ever stopped you.

It wasn’t just him you were mad at. It was everything you were mad at. And since Hiccup was with you 24/7, he was the one you took it out on. He did fight back, so you could safely assume that he was mad at you as well.

Toothless and Aurora had learned by now to stay out of your arguments, while your Terrible Terror, who you named Terror, was nowhere to be seen when arguments broke out.

Hiccup had been working on something for the past few days that he wouldn’t tell you about (so naturally a fight broke out) and you two were now heading back to the forge so Hiccup could finish.

“I don’t see why I have to come with you.” You said, turning towards the Viking. “I know the island like the back of my hand, I’m not going to get lost.”

Hiccup sighed. “That’s not the point (Name). You’re supposed to stay with me every day all day. It was part of the deal.”

“Well screw the deal!” You shouted.

“Here they go again.” Gobber groaned.

“I don’t like this-“

“Well I don’t like it either!” You cut Hiccup off.

“So we both don’t like it!” Hiccup shouted. “Deal with it!”

You growled. “I’ve been taken away from everything I’ve know and thrust into this dump and you expect me to ‘deal with it’!?”

“Will you just-“ Hiccup clenched his hands, at a loss of words. Lucky for him, you two finally reached the forge. “Just sit down, be quite, and BEHAVE!”

You were going to retort, but Hiccup already stalked off. “…That stupid, ignorant little prick-“

“Now lass.” Gobber came up to you, placing a hand on your shoulder and gently pushing you down onto the chair. “Lets not go judging until you know him.”

You didn’t bother to reply to the man, but you did let him push you onto the chair.

Gobber sighed. “You should really talk to someone (Name).”

“…I don’t need to talk to someone.” You grumbled.

Gobber shook his head, and then went back to his own project, quickly filling the room with sparks and the sound of metal on metal.

oOo

Time passed by rather quickly, and when Hiccup came back the sky was dark with clouds, singling an oncoming of a storm.

“Did you finish?” You asked dryly, eyeing Hiccup with suspicion as he shoved his hand in his pocked.

“Yeah.” He said. “We can go now.”

You two left with out another word.

When you stepped out of the forge, you were instantly hit with the sent of rain. You looked up, and were a little surprised to find it was darker than you had originally thought.

You shook your head, and then looked back down. “…So what’s in your pocket?” You asked quietly.

Hiccup remained silent.

You glared. “So you’re not talking to me anymore?”

“You’re just going to yell at me.” He snapped. “And quite frankly, I’m tired of it.”

You bristled. “You’re tired of it?!”

“Yeah, I am!” Hiccup rounded on you, glare in place. “I mean, what happened? You were so nice when I first met you.”

“So what if I was!” You shouted. “I was being polite!”

“So after your daddy leaves, you can just blow up at people!?”

“Would you just rather I leave!?” You challenged. “So I don’t ‘blow up at people’?!”

“I’ve wanted you to leave ever since you started snapping at me!” Hiccup growled.

“Fine then!” You shouted. “I’ll leave!” You then hopped onto Aurora. “It’s not like anyone would miss me!”

“You’re right! No one would miss you!”

You growled, and then urged Aurora up off the ground. “I HATE YOU!” You screeched, and then shot off towards god knows where.

Hiccup continued to glare at your retreating form, and then when you were gone, his eyes widned.

“Oh gods.” He breathed, realization of what just happened suddenly hitting him full force. “What did I just do?”

oOo

You and Aurora hadn’t gotten very far before the first bolt of lighting came down.

It barley missed you, and Aurora let out a frightened roar as another bolt came down, this time close enough that your hair stood on end.

“We’ve gotta land girl.” You said, and that’s when the rain came down.

You were soaked within an instant, and you were struggling to see through the downpour as Aurora flew on.  The dragon herself was struggling to fly, and as soon as you spotted the outline of a cave, you singled to the Changewing to land.

She stumbled into the cave, falling to the ground in a heap of soaking dragon.

“You okay?” You asked, running your hand along her muzzle as she let out a quite roar.  Changewings didn’t last very long in the rain, and since you had been flying for quite awhile, it was quite possible that Aurora was sick.

Terror then crawled out of your shirt, and started to pace around the cave.  He dragged a few pieces of driftwood in between you and Aurora, and then set them on fire.

“Thank you.” You said, rubbing the blue dragons head as the warmth rush over your shivering figure. He hummed, and then curled up next to your side.

You looked out the cave, letting out a sigh. You couldn’t even SEE out the cave, so there was no way you were getting back.

“Gods,” You whispered, burying you head in your hands. “I’m an idiot.”
So, I wasn't quite sure what I was doing in the beginning, but I think it works out.

I think you have every right to act the way your acting, but what do you think?

So, all that anger you have locked up inside slowly started to leak out, and finally exploded in a very disasters way. So now your lost, stuck in a storm, with no way to back. Will Hiccup come and find you, or will you have to wait the storm out and heal a sick dragon? Stay tuned to find out!
