You finally gave up on trying to ignore that weird feeling, so you went to Astrid, one of the few people you actually liked, for an explanation.

You knew that Hiccup used to have a crush on her, but once he actually got to know her, there relationship became one of siblings, and it wouldn’t go any farther than that.

You were at the dragon-training academy with Astrid, Stormfly and Aurora (Hiccup had to go on a scouting mission and you refused to go this time, having had enough of Snotlout for awhile), sitting on the dusty floor, and had just finished telling the Viking your problem.

“It’s weird.” You grumbled. “And it really need’s to stop.”

Astrid let out a little laugh, and you glared at the girl. “It’s not weird (Name).” she said, shaking her head and giving you a smile. “And it’s completely natural.”

“How is something like that natural?” You had a look of utter confusion on your face, and that caused Astrid to laugh again. “Will you stop that?!”

“Sorry.” Astrid said, not sounding sorry at all. “It’s just how can you not know about this stuff?”

“I lived a very sheltered life, and the only people I interacted with was my brother and a dragon.” You huffed. “Now are you going to tell me or not?”

“It means you have feelings for our little Hiccup.” Astrid finally said, bursting out into laughter again as your mouth dropped open, your eyes widening and a blush quickly creeping onto your face.  Aurora and Stormfly looked at you curiously, blinking in unison when you finally managed to stutter out a response.

“I-I do n-not!” You’re position turned into a defensive one. “T-there’s just n-no way!”

“And why not?” Astrid asked, finally getting over her laughter and taking on a serious tone. “You’ve been with him for four months, and he’s not exactly the fishbone he used to be.”

“But we’re f-friends.” You defended, trying to ignore the disappointment you felt as you said the last word.  Because there was absolutely no reason for feeling disappointed.

Astrid rolled her eyes. “Friendship can easily turn into love (Name).”

You were saved from answering by the man in question swooping down into the arena on Toothless in a rather over dramatic way.  He hopped off, removing his helmet and running his hand through his auburn hair (once again, in an over dramatic way). You yourself looked away from him, suddenly finding it weird to look at him after what Astrid had said.“Well, you guys look like you’re having a life changing conversation.”

“We’re not. It’s…girl stuff.” It wasn’t exactly a lie, but Hiccup had hit the nail dead on.  But it’s not like he needed to know that.

“Uh huh.” He said, sounding like he didn’t believe you at all. “Anyway, Dad wants to see us in the Great Gall.”

“I guess that’s my cue.” Astrid got up and hopped on Stormfly. As she was about to take off, she looked back at you, narrowing her blue eyes ever so slightly. “We’ll take about this later, okay?”

“Yeah…” You grumbled, holding a hand up you face as the wind from Stormfly’s wings hit you as she took off.

“…can I ask?” Hiccup looked at you.

“No.” You then hopped onto Aurora and took off, leaving Hiccup and Toothless behind.

He caught up rather quickly though.

oOo

“So what did your Dad want to see us about?” You and Hiccup had just landed in front of the Great Hall, and you were trying to smooth out your windblown hair as you walked towards the giant doors.

“No idea.” Hiccup replied, jogging ahead of you to hold open the door.

“Well, how very reassuring.” You grumbled, your voice dripping with sarcasm.

You were bound to pick some things up from Hiccup, having been with him for 4 months, and sarcasm just so happened to be one of those things.

Hiccup rolled his eyes, and then followed you into the Great Hall, holding the door open from the inside just long enough for the dragons to follow.

“There you are!” Stoick’s voice boomed throughout the Hall, and you weren’t all that surprised to find Gobber next to the man. “I was just about to go out to get you two!”

“What did you want us for?” Hiccup asked, completely ignoring what Stoick said as he took his place next to you. You yourself took a step away from him, that weird feeling you had all of a sudden acquired 5 minutes ago still going strong.

What in Odin’s name was wrong with you?

“Your father wanted me to plan some of your wedding.”  Stoick was now talking to you. “And some of it revolves around you.”

“What did he want you to do?” You asked, genuinely curious.  It was your wedding after all.

“He wanted me to find someone to make your dress for you for one thing.” He replied. “And I was wondering if you had anyone in mind.”

You brightened up. “I can do it myself.” You said. You had, after all, been making your own cloths for the past few months.

“You sure you don’t want help?” Hiccup asked, suddenly close to you again.

You huffed, and then tensed. “Do you doubt my skills?”

“Of course not!” Hiccup was quick to reply. “It’s just that wedding dresses aren’t exactly the easiest thing to make.”

You let your body relax. Hiccup did have a point. “…is Astrid good at these kinds of things?” You received a nod from all three Vikings. “Then she can help me.”

“Anything else?” Hiccup turned his attention back to Stoick.

“He also wanted you to pick out some songs,” Gobber was the one to answer this time. “To keep the ‘Viking Tradition’.”  You froze. You hadn’t been here long enough to know any ‘Viking Wedding songs’ if you will, so you were at a complete loss for this one.  “He also wanted us to invite some people, but I’m pretty sure the whole village would go with or without permission.”

Gobber chuckled and Hiccup rolled his eyes (again). “So just dress and songs?”

“Just dress and songs.” Stoick confirmed. “Now you better get started. You only have two months.”

And just like that both you and Hiccup were out of there. You were a good couple feet away from the Hall when Hiccup dropped his hand on your shoulder, causing you to jump (but only slightly).

“I’ll take care of the songs.” He said, giving you a small smile. “You go find Astrid and work on your dress.”

“Got ‘cha.” Hiccup then hopped onto Toothless and took off. You didn’t have to go anywhere, as Astrid landed right in front of you not even 5 seconds later.

“What did the chief want?” The blond asked.

“You get to help me make my wedding dress!”

Astrid blinked, and then smirked. “Sounds fun.”

oOo

The two of you had gone back to Astrid’s place, and we’re sitting in the kitchen with a drawing of a plane dress. It had sleeves and went down to the floor. It had no designs, although you wanted to put a dragon on it, but neither you nor Astrid knew how to fit that in.

You were tapping the charcoal against your cheek when Astrid interrupted your train of thought.

“You figured out if you like Hiccup yet?”

You dropped the charcoal, cheek’s flushing as you looked at Astrid, who in turn was looking at you.  Sky blue eyes met (e/c), and the blond raised an eye brow as you fumbled around with your words.

“I-I don’t-Can we talk about this later?”

“(Name),” Astrid leaned forward. “This is the man you’re going to spend the rest of your life with.” You bit your lip. “It can’t wait till later.”

“I-I just…” You trailed off, and then brought your hands to your face, covering your eyes. “I just don’t know.”

“You get butterflies whenever he smiles at you, right?” Astrid asked. You nodded. “Do you like spending time with him?”

Another nod.

“How do you feel when he has to leave?”

You stayed silent for awhile, before mumbling out one word. “…Lonely.”

“Do you get jealous when other women ‘take him away from you’?”

Was that what the burning feeling was?

“(Name).” Astrid spoke in a gentle tone, and you finally looked up. She had the faintest of smiles on her lips, and it was in that moment you realized something.

You did like the man you once hated.

You liked him a lot.
I wouldn't quite say 'love' yet, but you defiantly like our little Hiccup. And I decided you needed a brother.

So, I need your guy's help. I want to have a fast paced song that you and Hiccup dance too at your wedding, and I'm torn between

'Where no one goes' by Jonsi - www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHOwYq…

and

'Into a fantasy' by Alexander Rybak - www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiVWvr…;

There both How to train your dragon 2 songs, and I would love it if you could listen to them and tell me which one you like better.

Also, would you like me to put 'For the Dancing and the Dreaming' in as well? - www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZmgF4…

I don't own you, the preview image or How to train your dragon
